  4. no, in a crass way, I was saying if he never really had any good romantic relationships to speak of (did he?) he might have had a tainted view of that kind of love.
    If he was primarily speaking of romantic relationships, that is.

    I believe you can have a loving relationship without falling into the trap of delusion, projection, etc. I do think that delusional state happens quite often however, to be sure.
